Bryce Canyon 103 km Permanent Populaire

Route #1407

Being an out and back route, navigation is very easy on this ride leaving you free to take in the amazing scenery! It’s simple, you start at the Red Canyon Visitor Center about 10 miles from Panguitch Utah and jump on the spectacular Red Canyon Bike Path. This path will eventually take riders all the way to Bryce Canyon National Park, and the full route is now complete. You will stop at world famous Ruby’s Inn before entering the park, then once you are in the park you just ride to the end of the road at Rainbow Point. On the way back a short detour will take you to the Bryce Canyon General Store where you can resupply before returning home. Restrooms and water are available at the Visitor Center. Food is available at Ruby’s Inn General Store and Bryce Canyon General Store.

The Details

The ride starts at the Red Canyon Visitor Center which is 3.5 miles east of the junction of State Hwy 89 and State Hwy 12. You can park in the Visitor Center parking lot for the ride. The Visitor Center will have rangers on duty and they can stamp your card and put in the time. Please ask them to do it so since the staff on duty may not be familiar with your needs. This ride is available from June 1 through the end of September in most years.  The weather for Bryce Canyon can be greatly variable during the summer and fall. Please check the current weather conditions for Bryce Canyon during the period you intend to ride so that you will know what to expect. This is the high country and the weather can be quite changeable. Summer thunderstorms are quite common regardless of how perfect the day looks! You will need to pay a park entrance fee or have your park pass to complete this ride.
